Director, Training And Development
The Director of Training and Development will assist in partnership with the Senior Director of Training and Development with the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of Essen's enterprise-wide learning strategy, which will include enhancing staff engagement, onboarding, and professional growth.
Reporting to the Senior Director, this leader will partner closely with operations, People & Culture, and clinical leadership to ensure training programs align with organizational goals, compliance standards, and workforce development priorities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Execute the training and development strategy across clinical, administrative, and leadership functions.
- Partner with department heads to identify skill gaps and create targeted learning pathways.
- Manage the Learning Management System and ensure consistent content quality, tracking, and reporting.
- Execute measurable learning outcomes and performance metrics to evaluate training effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the Senior Director and P&C leaders to align training programs with talent management, succession planning, and organizational goals.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, compliance requirements, and healthcare education trends.
- Ensure all programs meet regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Utilize the ADDIE methodology in the design and development of training programs
- Utilize the Kirkpatrick methodology for evaluation development
Technical proficiencies to include:
- Microsoft Office:
Advanced Excel - EPIC/ eClinical Works (mandatory)
Preferred systems experience:
- UKG
- Twilio Flex
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required;
Master's in Organizational Development, HR, or Education preferred. - 8+ years of progressive experience in learning and development, talent management, or organizational effectiveness.
- Strong background in instructional design, adult learning theory, and learning measurement frameworks
- Experience working in healthcare or a regulated industry preferred.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with LMS platforms and data analytics tools.
Location:
Required to be in Bronx-based office location 5 days a week
