Assistant Clinic Supervisor
The Assistant Clinic Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the administrative and clinical functions of the clinic team while serving as a key leader within the program. This role champions agency-wide initiatives and ensures alignment with Astor Services' mission, values, and strategic priorities.
The Assistant Clinic Supervisor will complete intake assessments, provide weekly supervision, assign cases, facilitate trainings, ensure high-quality documentation, and support the development and implementation of outcome measures. This role requires flexibility to respond to evolving service area needs, including physically traveling across program sites to provide cross-site oversight, support staff, and ensure consistent, high-quality clinical and operational performance. In addition to strong administrative oversight, this role maintains an active caseload and models best practices in clinical care and professional leadership.
Job Responsibilities- Collaborates with Clinic Supervisor and completes tasks as assigned.
- Demonstrates proactive leadership and flexibility in supporting Bronx operations, including physically traveling across sites to provide cross-site oversight, strengthen team performance, and ensure continuity, consistency, and quality of care.
- Champions and actively supports agency-wide initiatives, promoting a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrates strong leadership by guiding, mentoring, and supporting team members while fostering a positive and high-performing team environment.
- Maintains a caseload as determined by the Clinic Supervisor and meets productivity and documentation expectations for assigned clients.
- Manages clinician schedules by developing, monitoring, and adjusting caseload distribution and appointment templates, ensuring appropriate scheduling blocks are in place to support productivity targets, intake access, supervision, documentation time, and high-quality client care.
- Manages, reviews, and monitors maintenance of client records to ensure both internal and external quality assurance standards and timely completion in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
- Assigns cases to team members and ensures equitable distribution aligned with staff capacity and client needs.
- Facilitates trainings and supports staff in maintaining fidelity to evidence-based treatment protocols.
- The Assistant Clinic Supervisor collaborates across all levels of the organization to promote effective service delivery, staff development, and continuous quality improvement.
- Works collaboratively across all agency programs and departments, taking a proactive leadership role in building strong internal partnerships to drive coordination, alignment, and the delivery of comprehensive, high-quality care.
- Training and maintaining fidelity evidence-based treatment protocols, as age-appropriate for the setting.
- Provides direct supervision of clinicians and interns, supporting professional growth and adherence to best practices.
- Monitors high-risk dashboards and ensures adherence to all high-risk protocols.
- Participates in weekly agency Suicide Attempt Review Calls, as needed.
- Interfaces with families as needed in support of team members.
- Maintains data and reporting structures as required by Office of Mental Health, Department of Health, and Astor.
- Completes weekly, daily and monthly reports within expected timeframe.
- Promotes culturally responsive, trauma-informed clinical practice throughout all aspects of service delivery.
- Completes special projects and assignments as needed or identified by the Clinic Supervisor, Assistant Regional Director or Regional Director.
- Completes intake assessments and provides clinical coverage during staffing shortages or increased census, including maintaining a higher caseload as needed.
- Aligns all supervisory, clinical, and administrative practices with Astor Services' mission and commitment to serving children and families.
