Deli Slicer Assistant Job Bronx area,New York USA,Manufacturing / Production

The Deli Slicer Assistant is responsible for slicing and packing of the product for customer orders in the Deli department. The ideal candidate should have experience experience working with a deli slicing machine. Responsibilities:
* Processing (Slicing, packing + labeling)
* QA raw and finished materials
* Food Safe Practices specific to department.
* Adhere to all employee safety policies
* Slice food products and pack in bags, totes and boxes.
* Scan labels on packages, and label packages with printed labels
* Spot check packages emerging from machinery for correct labeling
* Complete any and all work necessary to help team before, during and after production
* Assist in shut down procedures
* Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
* In a work day: standing/walking 6-10 hours or more
* Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
* Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
* Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
