Associate Director of Corporate and Foundations Relations Development
** POSITION DETAILS
** Reporting to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement, the Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations is a key collaborator within the Division of Institutional Advancement responsible for securing philanthropic support, building strategic partnerships, stewarding relationships, and managing reporting and compliance with corporate and foundation funders that advance the mission and strategic priorities of Hostos Community College. The Associate Director serves as the primary point of contact for a curated portfolio of corporate and foundation prospects and partners, working closely with academic and administrative leaders across the College to identify, develop, and support innovative projects aligned with institutional priorities.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the intersection between higher education and philanthropy, including the ability to align institutional priorities with funder interests and emerging trends in the philanthropic landscape. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, highly organized self-starter with exceptional relationship-building skills, experience managing complex projects from concept through implementation and reporting, and the ability to work effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.

Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: + Manage a portfolio of corporate and foundation prospects and funders to grow the College's philanthropic support and advance both strategic and emerging institutional priorities. + Collaborate with Hostos faculty, administrators, and staff to identify funding opportunities, build internal grant-seeking capacity, and develop projects from ideation through proposal development, submission, implementation, and stewardship.

+ Provide strategic guidance and expertise on trends, best practices, and opportunities in corporate and foundation philanthropy, helping campus partners understand and navigate the external funding landscape. + Cultivate and maintain relationships with local and national corporate and foundation funders, leveraging existing networks and developing new connections to expand Hostos' visibility and funding opportunities. + Prepare competitive proposals and supporting materials;

manage submissions; monitor deadlines; and manage reporting, compliance, and stewardship requirements for corporate and foundation grants and gifts. + Guide the stewardship process for corporate and foundation partners to strengthen relationships, demonstrate impact, and support long-term engagement and investment. + Conduct prospect research and environmental scanning to identify, qualify, and develop new local, regional, and national funding opportunities aligned with institutional priorities.

+ Remain informed on legal, regulatory, and accounting considerations related to corporate and foundation philanthropy, grantmaking, and charitable giving. + Work collaboratively with the Institutional Advancement team to support fundraising events, donor engagement activities, and signature programs and initiatives of the College. + Performs related duties as assigned. + Essential duties require in-person, on-campus work.
** QUALIFICATIONS
* * Bachelor's Degree and six years' related experience required. The following qualifications are preferred: + Minimum of six years progressively responsible experience in corporate and foundation relations, institutional advancement, grant seeking, or related fundraising roles, preferably within higher education or other mission-driven organizations. + Demonstrated success securing philanthropic support from corporations and foundations, including experience developing competitive proposals and stewarding grants from cultivation through reporting and renewal.

+ Strong understanding of the intersection of higher education and philanthropy, with the ability to align institutional priorities with funder interests and emerging trends in the philanthropic landscape. + Experience independently managing complex projects from concept development through proposal submission, implementation, stewardship, and compliance. + Proven ability to identify, cultivate, and strengthen relationships with corporate and foundation funders and other external partners.

+ Exceptional grant and proposal writing skills, with demonstrated success developing persuasive, data-informed cases for support. + Highly organized, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines effectively. + Proactive and solutions-oriented, anticipating challenges and identifying strategies to address them; demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative as a self-starter. + Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
