Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Location: Bronx, NY
Shift Timing: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Schedule: 3 Days/Week | 34.5 Hours/Week

Job Summary

An experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to support surgical services in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role involves performing both scrub and circulating duties, assisting physicians during procedures, and ensuring patient safety throughout the surgical process.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in perioperative nursing, including IV therapy, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scrub and circulating duties during surgical procedures
  • Assist surgeons and surgical teams in the operating room
  • Administer and monitor conscious sedation
  • Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy procedures
  • Monitor patient condition before, during, and after surgery
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
  • Ensure adherence to patient safety protocols and infection control standards
  • Collaborate effectively with surgical teams and healthcare staff
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in:
    • Scrub and circulating roles
    • IV insertion and phlebotomy
    • Conscious sedation
  • Active New York State RN License
  • AHA BLS & ACLS Certifications (required)
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program
Preferred Skills
  • Strong knowledge of operating room procedures and protocols
  • Excellent patient care and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced surgical environment
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
