Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join a well-established and growing outpatient Psychiatry and Neurology practice in Lower Westchester, NY. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. The ideal candidate is experienced in managing a range of psychiatric conditions and is comfortable working in a structured, clinic-based environment serving a diverse patient population. This is a Monday–Friday (daytime hours only) role, fully on-site within the clinic. This role is ideal for providers who are motivated by both mission and income opportunity. Requirements:
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including diagnostic assessments and mental status exams
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other behavioral health disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient-specific clinical needs
- Provide ongoing medication management, including prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications
- Utilize AI-supported clinical tools to enhance documentation accuracy, workflow efficiency, and patient care delivery
- Collaborate with neurologists, therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and medication adherence
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system
- Support continuity of care through follow-ups and care coordination
- Deliver culturally competent care across a diverse patient population
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New York
- Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Prior experience in outpatient psychiatry preferred
- Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and treatment planning
- Comfortable leveraging technology and AI-supported tools in a clinical setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based clinical environment
