Registered Nurse

We are currently seeking a compassionate, highly skilled, and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Acute Care Unit. The Registered Nurse will collaborate closely with physicians, nursing colleagues, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered care. This role requires a strong commitment to clinical excellence, effective communication, teamwork, and advocacy for patients and their families while consistently demonstrating the core values, standards of excellence, and mission of SBH.

The ideal candidate will bring sound clinical judgment, accountability, compassion, and a commitment to creating an exceptional patient experience while contributing to a culture of safety, respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, compassionate care, and professional nursing practice. Qualifications and responsibilities include:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current and unrestricted New York State license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
  • Two years of acute care nursing experience preferred; however, motivated and qualified new graduate nurses are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Demonstrates compassion, professionalism, sound clinical judgment, critical thinking, and effective problem-solving skills in a fast-paced acute care environment.
  • Maintains a strong commitment to patient safety, quality outcomes, evidence-based practice, and an exceptional patient and family experience.
  • Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, ensuring nursing practice is consistent with established clinical, regulatory, and operational standards.
  • Contributes to program development and continuous improvement efforts, including the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
  • Demonstrates accountability, adaptability, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth and development while supporting the mission, vision, and core values of SBH.
