9:30 a.m.

- 6:30 p.m., schedule subject to change through the spring and summer, due to needs of the Department. Must be able to perform overtime when needed.

Position Summary:

Security Guards ensure that our Staff, guests, and Animal Collection, enjoy a safe experience at Wildlife Conservation Society parks.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Presenting professionalism in uniform while assisting guests that are seeking information, medical assistance or other aid and in a courteous manner.

* Communicating clearly using a portable radio.

* Following instructions and orders from Security Management and other competent authority.

* Completing the Security Officer's Daily Activity Report.

* Will be required to remain at fixed post, a roving post covering a designated area and entrance/exit gates, as needed.

* Monitoring building conditions for overcrowding, disorderly persons and prohibited items inside exhibits.

* Completing other assignments as required and helping others on the team
