** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

+ Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization as required, and help to control access in accordance with location policies.

+ Support a positive educational environment by giving directions, assisting with security-related inquiries, and communicating professionally with students, families, staff, and visitors.

* Minimum Requirements:

*
* + Possess a New York State Security Guard License.

+ Be 21+ years of age.

+ Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.

+ The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
