** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a shelter environment.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity, identify unusual conditions, and report concerns promptly.

+ Monitor access points and common areas, verify permissions as directed by site procedures, and assist with maintaining orderly movement of residents, guests, and deliveries.

+ Support daily shelter operations by observing resident and visitor interactions, reporting policy violations and/or maintenance concerns, and providing courteous assistance during routine and high-activity periods.

* Minimum Requirements:

*
* + A New York State Security Guard License is required.

+ At least 1 year of security experience is required.

+ Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
