Position: Front Desk/Staff Security Guard (Bronx)

Job Title

This is an exempt position.

This position is part-time. It is Saturday - Sunday 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM

The following listing of assignments, tasks and activities is not intended to be all inclusive, but is intended to reflect a level of performance.

  • Insure the safety and security of all residents, visitors and staff.
  • Monitor and maintain sign-in/-out log, and, ensures that all guests and visitors sign-in and sign-out of the building.
  • Respond to all resident emergencies when case management staff is not on-duty.
  • Summon the police department and/or fire department in case of emergency and when appropriate.
  • Summon local emergency unit when appropriate.
  • Intervene with residents in conflict situations as defined by the organization and the program director.
  • May conduct fire drills and other evacuation drills.
  • May never leave the front desk unoccupied
  • Insure that tenant and program property is safe and secure.
  • Provide the program director with written and verbal reports as required.
  • Perform related duties as requested by the program director.

    • Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED and completion of State required courses
    • Prior experience as a security officer is helpful
    • Security Personnel must continue to maintain State requirements.
