Electrical Foreman
The Electrical Foreman oversees electrical construction activities on a large retail facility project, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and electrical codes. This role coordinates field operations, guides electricians and helpers, and interprets blueprints to deliver high-quality electrical installations within established timelines.
Responsibilities- Lead and supervise electrical construction work on a retail facility project from planning through completion.
- Interpret and review electrical blueprints and construction drawings to plan daily work activities and ensure accurate installation.
- Coordinate and assign tasks to electricians and other field personnel to meet project schedules and milestones.
- Monitor the quality of electrical installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and applicable electrical codes.
- Collaborate with other trades and site personnel to sequence work and resolve conflicts in the field.
- Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and materials for electrical construction activities.
- Identify and communicate material, labor, or schedule needs to support uninterrupted project progress.
- Promote and enforce safety practices and procedures on the job site, including safe electrical work methods.
- Inspect completed work regularly and make adjustments or corrections as needed to maintain high standards.
- Provide on-the-job guidance and direction to less experienced workers to support skill development and consistent performance.
- Hands-on experience in electrical construction within commercial or retail facility projects.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from electrical blueprints and construction drawings.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and installation practices in a construction environment.
- Demonstrated capability to oversee and coordinate electrical work in the field.
- Knowledge of basic construction practices, sequencing, and coordination with other trades.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, code-compliant electrical installations.
- Effective communication skills for directing crews and collaborating with site personnel.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities on an active job site.
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in a foreman or lead electrician role on construction projects.
- Familiarity with retail or large commercial facility construction environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and propose practical solutions.
- Basic understanding of safety standards and best practices related to electrical construction.
- Capability to document work progress and report issues or delays to project leadership.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based on an active construction site within a large retail facility project. Work is primarily performed on-site, involving regular use of standard electrical tools, equipment, and materials. The position requires working in and around construction areas, including exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Hours typically follow standard construction shifts, with potential for extended or weekend work depending on project needs.
Attire should be appropriate for a construction environment, including sturdy work clothing and required protective gear such as hard hats, safety glasses, and work boots.
This is a Contract position based out of Bronx, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
