Substance Abuse Counselor
Location:
Bronx, NY 10451
Schedule:
Full-time 35 hours/week
- Conduct initial and annual substance abuse assessments
- Develop comprehensive, individualized service plans in collaboration with case managers
- Perform intake interviews and maintain accurate case records
- Deliver crisis intervention and advocacy services
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field - Certification: NYS CASAC or CASAC-T required
- Minimum 2 years in substance abuse field required
- Experience with mentally ill, substance-abusing, or formerly homeless individuals preferred
- Familiarity with CARES and AWARDS database systems preferred
