Position: Configuration Management Specialist IV
HX5 is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to support the GEARS contract at NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) for the Space Nuclear Propulsion‑Technology Maturation (SNP‑TM) project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provide configuration and data management support to the SNP‑TM project.
- Maintain a project document repository and control access for team members and stakeholders.
- Serve as coordinator of the SNP‑TM Materials Characterization Working Group (MCWG).
- Maintain effective controls and track the latest revision for project data, system components, specifications, software, engineering and documentation.
- Coordinate publication and collaboration of documentation and changes.
- Organize data to facilitate ease of access for project team members and management decision‑making.
- Support various project reviews (Requirements Readiness, Preliminary Design, Critical Design, Flight Readiness, etc.) by ensuring relevant data are available in the agreed repository.
- Ensure all project documents are version‑controlled, tracked, and archived within the agreed system;
SharePoint is the primary repository. - Create project repositories and libraries for all configuration items.
- Provide data retention and storage for the project.
- Coordinate project meetings, including engineering, manufacturing, change control boards, and archive meeting minutes.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Configuration Management certification.
- Bachelor's or master’s degree with 5‑10 years of experience; OR high school diploma or equivalent with 15 years of experience.
