Job Description:
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery. This role will oversee a team of production employees while coordinating closely with maintenance to keep equipment running and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet output and delivery targets
- Monitor workflow, productivity, and equipment performance to drive efficiency
- Lead and support production team members in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Partner with maintenance teams to prioritize repairs and reduce downtime
- Enforce safety standards and maintain a safe working environment
- Identify and resolve production issues, bottlenecks, and delays
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes and operations
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience troubleshooting equipment and working with maintenance teams
- Ability to manage and motivate a unionized workforce (up to 30 employees)
- Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and safety standards
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience with CNC (Computer Numerical Control) equipment
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or relevant certification
- Background in continuous improvement methodologies
