Industrial Engineering Manager

In this position

Cleveland Engine Plant is looking for a highly skilled, lean‑driven Manager to lead our Industrial Engineering team. The selected candidate will lead IEs and support production to develop productivity proposals such as rebalances, OLOT reduction, and throughput improvements.

• Lead ergonomics improvement and problem solving through IE actions
• Lead workstation set up and optimization
• Implement engineering changes that affect the workstation and allocations
• Supervise/coach IEs with time study schedules (e.g., MODAPTS)
• Interface with union/works council and Health and Safety to settle job disputes and ergonomic issues
• Lead headcount cost savings projects
• Supervise monthly tracking of progress in WAVE and LRPT
• Lead cycle line layout process
• Supervise planning for mix and line speed changes
• Lead the Get Ready process
• Lead/manage departmental rolls analysis for weekly manpower meeting to ensure proper labor staffing and strategy
• Lead future model labor development (design, cycle line layouts, future model allocations)
• Serve as resource for plant IE training/assistance

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering
• 5 years’ experience in supervision in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to analyze and resolve issues quickly through root cause analysis and drive change in production departments
• Flexibility and willingness to rotate to various positions within the plant such as Production or Quality
• Strong customer orientation with commitment to uphold plant processes through strict adherence to the Quality Operating System
• Ability to execute results while organizing and managing multiple priorities
• Proven willingness to take a participatory approach to union relations and be a team player
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Capability to serve as a strong, confident technical mentor to the production organization (both hourly
