Copper and Brass Division:
Sales is a distributor and processor serving markets across North America, including Canada and Mexico. The company focuses on Aerospace, Automotive, Electrical, Medical and Oil & Gas industries, offering market-specific expertise and premium customer service built on 80 years in the nonferrous metals industry.

• Apply metal to customer orders and accurately process material according to work order specifications.
• Maintain processing equipment and the processing area in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
• Complete all required information entry accurately; perform other tasks as assigned.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment as required.
• Pull, inspect, and verify product before processing; set up equipment to run material per specifications; process setup notes according to work order specifications.
• Verify that product meets setup specifications per written work instructions and record measurements (sampling plan).
• Communicate with the appropriate sales representative regarding changes or clarifications to orders.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and general clean-up; maintain issued measurement equipment in working condition.
• Enter/delete material identification tags per written instructions; assist in packaging of material per work instructions and work orders.
• Record inspection measurements using weighing scales; identify, record, and segregate scrap and any non-conforming material.
• Provide feedback to supervision regarding machine efficiency and product quality.
• Complete job responsibilities without putting oneself or others in unsafe situations; train others when required; assist in lean and quality activities.
• This position works directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery and meets TKMNA employee attributes/competencies.

Minimum Requirements
:

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and write
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
• Basic math skills
• Safety mindset

Preferred Requirements
:

• Previous warehouse experience, especially in the metals industry
• Previous forklift experience
• Experience with hand-held measuring tools
• Computer literate
