POSITION SUMMARYThis position oversees the administration of the Quality Management System (QMS) with the authority to manage all activities affecting quality. The Quality Manager provides leadership in developing, deploying, and maintaining Quality policies and procedures in accordance with approved quality standards for each customer. To perform this position successfully, the person chosen must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties and job responsibilities listed below.
DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Formulate and manage goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems for Quality Assurance.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality and report them regularly to management.
- Maintain and enhance the Quality practices to ensure compliance with international, regulatory, statutory, & customer requirements, including preparation for audits and inspections.
- Manage documentation related to the QMS guidelines.
- Ensure that all quality-related documentation is accurate, complete, and maintained in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Lead Quality Assurance and improvement initiatives for all products and processes.
- Maintain an internal quality audit program, ensuring that all findings are addressed and corrective actions are taken.
- Identify organization-wide quality training needs; develop training programs, and administer training.
- Monitor supplier quality performance and initiate programs to ensure suppliers meet organization and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with suppliers to enhance quality and resolve issues related to supplier performance.
- Provide leadership to the Quality team through effective communications, coaching, training and development.
- Direct and coordinate quality specifications, standards, inspection and testing procedures for raw materials, processes & finished products.
- Establish testing policies and procedures that will meet the quality control needs of the organization.
- Manage all quality documents, samples, customer communications, supplier development, product start-up, product launch, and correction of product variance and warranty analysis.
- Promote Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodologies.
- Operate in and foster a continuous improvement environment.
- Proven experience in the development and implementation of quality systems and standards (ISO
9001, IATF
16949, FMEA’s, PPAP, & Control Plans) - Experience collaborating with other departments across the organization.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 8 years of related experience in manufacturing required.
- Minimum 4 years in Quality supervision experience.
- Certification (CQE) Required.
