We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Assurance Technician who has a background in food manufacturing to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products and processes. Your responsibilities will include testing, inspecting, and evaluating products to ensure they meet our high standards.
* This is 2nd shift 4:30p-2:30a Monday-Thursday. Friday over time is flex based on the production.
Responsibilities:- Check production processes/products for conformance to set specifications
- Metal detector set-up and monitoring
- Moisture analysis. Tests various products for moisture control
- Responsible to report food safety, quality, or food defense concerns to his/her supervisor
- Ensures conformance with all Safety, GMP's, and Food Safety Policies
- Maintain accurate records of quality control activities
- 1+ years of experience in food manufacturing preferred
- 1+ years of experience in quality assurance or a related field
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to read, write, and speak basic English
- We will train someone without experience if they meet the other qualifications
- Basic experience with Microsoft Office applications, and use of intranet and internet
- Well-developed problem solving, team building and staff development skills
- Ability to demonstrate a high attention to detail and good follow-up skills
- Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines
- High degree of initiative and independent judgement
- Must be self-motivated, proactive, and solution focused
- Must be able to communicate and exchange information, collect, compile and prepare work documents, set-up and maintain work files
- Majority of time spent standing/walking to perform job duties
