Are you an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys keeping financial operations running smoothly? We're looking for a motivated Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Brookfield, CT.
In this role, you'll play a critical part in managing the company's financial transactions, strengthening vendor and customer relationships, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our accounting processes. If you're highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced with AP/AR functions, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do Accounts Payable
+ Process vendor invoices and payments accurately and on time
+ Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies
+ Maintain organized and accurate AP records
+ Manage expense reports and petty cash transactions
+ Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
+ Build positive relationships with vendors and business partners
Accounts Receivable
+ Generate and distribute customer invoices
+ Monitor incoming payments and account activity
+ Follow up professionally on outstanding balances
+ Reconcile AR accounts and maintain accurate financial records
+ Resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries
+ Prepare aging reports and support collection activities
General Accounting Support
+ Assist with month-end close activities
+ Prepare AP/AR-related financial reports
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes
+ Support internal and external audits by providing documentation
+ Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy within accounting operations
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
+ 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bookkeeping, or General Accounting
+
Experience with accounting software such as Quick Books, Net Suite, SAP, or similar ERP systems
+ Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
+ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
+ Strong communication and customer service abilities
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
+ Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
+ Experience working in manufacturing, distribution, or service-based industries
+ Knowledge of collections practices and financial compliance standards

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brookfield, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00/hr.
