Classroom Assistant Brookfield, CT

Overview

Classroom Assistant position at Regina Caeli Academy in Brookfield, CT. Part-time, 12 hours per week, teaching in a classical Catholic classroom.

• Hours:
  
  Mondays and Thursdays 8:45 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• Daily training:
  Must attend a full day of training on August 5, 2024 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

• Assist in teaching students in the classical and Catholic tradition.
• Provide instruction, classroom management, and grading guidance according to RCA standards.
• Participate in class planning and support curriculum delivery.
• Attend required online video training and assessments after hiring.

• No teaching certification or formal teaching experience required.
• Experience homeschooling, working with homeschool children, ministry in a Catholic parish, teaching Religious Education, Catechism, or teaching your own children.
• Strong communication skills, good organization, timeliness, and a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
• Living the Catholic faith day to day, having received all necessary sacraments.
• Ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
• Clear background check and completion of RCA Safe Child training.
