CCA, LLC a division of Haley Ward is looking for a Project Engineer to plan, organize, and control the activities of projects to achieve successful completion while operating within guidelines established by the Project Manager, within established schedules, budgets, and QA/QC policy constraints. Typical projects will entail municipal water, sewer, and roadway infrastructure, dams, site planning, and stormwater management. The role involves working in a team environment on a broad range of engineering projects from planning through implementation.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with clients to assess needs and establish realistic project goals.
- Work with and/or support a team of professionals performing calculations and developing site plans.
- Manage projects to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Develop proposals outlining service fees.
- Research economic alternatives for project components.
- Present applications and provide testimony to land‑use boards and commissions.
- Prepare construction cost estimates and reports for civil projects.
- Liaise with professionals, attorneys, developers, contractors, and public agencies.
- Support firm principals in business development efforts.
- BS in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license with a minimum of 4 years of related experience OR Engineer in Training (EIT) on track to attain PE license with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Experience in site design for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, including:
- Zoning and planning requirements
- Site grading and erosion control design
- Roadway and street design
- Stormwater, drainage and hydraulic calculations and design
- Septic and utility systems
- Construction document preparation
- Retaining wall design (a plus)
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
- Multi‑discipline project management skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (2023 or higher) required.
- Sound mathematical skills required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required (occasional local travel for site visits and client meetings).
A criminal background check and driving record check will be conducted.
