Job Description
HIRING:
Structural Engineer Design with Responsibility. Build with Confidence. We are seeking a motivated and technically strong Structural Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Brookfield, Connecticut. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of structural design projects from concept through construction while working closely with experienced Professional Engineers, architects, and contractors. This role is ideal for an engineer ready to expand technical responsibilities, strengthen client‑facing skills, and contribute meaningfully to high‑quality building design projects.
- Conduct site walkthroughs and field investigations to assess existing conditions
- Perform structural analysis and design for residential and light commercial buildings, including custom single‑family homes, structural repairs and retrofits, building renovations, and new construction
- Prepare and review structural drawings and calculations using AutoCAD
- Perform construction inspections and phase observations
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors throughout project delivery
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality, accuracy, and schedule compliance
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering
- 1–4 years of experience in building structural engineering (non‑bridge)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience designing with structural steel, cold‑formed steel, lumber and masonry, aluminum, and concrete foundations
- Experience performing structural analysis and conducting site visits
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- EIT certification (PE licensure encouraged or supported)
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering
- Experience with structural analysis software such as RISA 3D and RAM
- Salary range: $70,000 — $100,000 annually
- Quarterly and annual performance bonuses
- 3 weeks of PTO (18–21 days)
- 8 paid holidays

- Permanent, full‑time position
- Fully onsite in Brookfield, CT
