Job Description
An Associate in Healthcare Corporate Banking will support the structuring, execution, administration, and management of bank debt for a diversified healthcare client base, including healthcare services, life sciences, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare real estate. As part of the coverage team, the Associate will help optimize the use of the Bank’s balance sheet in connection with Capital Markets, Investment Banking, and Sales & Trading relationships while delivering credit solutions aligned with client growth strategies.
Responsibilities- Assist in structuring acquisition financings, leveraged and investment‑grade loans, bridge facilities, corporate revolvers, and other credit solutions for healthcare clients.
- Prepare credit submissions and supporting documentation related to the transaction approval process, including loan syndications, pipeline management, single‑name credit strategies, and Exceptions Committee memoranda.
- Support transactions from underwriting through closing and ongoing monitoring.
- Structure and monitor syndicated and bilateral loan transactions.
- Conduct financial analysis and build and maintain detailed financial models, including cash flow projections, covenant analysis, and downside scenarios.
- Provide coverage support for designated healthcare clients, identifying cross‑sell opportunities across all active Capital Markets products.
- Partner closely with Investment Banking, Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, and Fixed Income Sales & Trading teams.
- Monitor client, industry, and market performance, particularly regulatory developments, reimbursement trends, M&A activity, and credit deterioration risks.
- Assist with internal credit administration, ongoing portfolio monitoring and industry trend analysis.
- Liaise with middle and back‑office functions to ensure seamless execution of wires, settlements, and documentation processes.
- Engage Risk Management and Credit Portfolio Management teams in credit underwriting, approvals, amendments, and ongoing monitoring.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline.
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in Corporate Lending, Corporate Finance, Healthcare Banking, or Credit Analysis.
- Strong financial modeling skills, including experience with complex capital structures and covenant frameworks.
- Superior writing and presentation skills with ability to prepare detailed credit memoranda.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to assess healthcare‑specific risks such as reimbursement exposure, regulatory risk, and payer mix dynamics.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Ability to take initiative, operate independently, and thrive in a team‑oriented environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple transactions and competing deadlines.
- Formal credit training.
- Master’s degree (MBA or related field) or CFA or another relevant professional designation.
- Prior experience covering healthcare services, pharma, biotech, or healthcare real estate.

The expected salary range is $160,000 – $180,000, based on experience, skills, registration status, market conditions, and business needs. The range does not include a discretionary bonus or benefits such as a 401(k) with company match, health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, or paid time‑off.
