Greenfield is seeking a QC Chemist I to join our Brookfield site, a critical facility that manufactures specialty chemical ingredients for pharmaceutical excipients, food flavors, beverages, and industrial alcohol blends. The entry‑level role focuses on routine laboratory analysis, data entry, and maintenance of lab equipment. You will conduct analytical tests, document results, uphold safety and organization, and support the overall laboratory success.
WhoYou Are
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or related fields; strong foundation in analytical chemistry preferred.
- Experience in an analytical laboratory, proficient with GC and UV‑Vis spectroscopy; other relevant techniques are a plus.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and regulatory guidelines in laboratory operations preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, accurate documentation, and adherence to established protocols.
- Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to address issues promptly.
- Effective written and verbal communication for clear reporting and collaboration.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while being a proactive team player.
- Conduct routine and non‑routine analyses of raw materials, in‑process samples, final products, and stability samples following established procedures.
- Use analytical techniques such as Gas Chromatography, UV‑Visible spectroscopy, titrations, and other relevant methods.
- Perform performance verifications on all applicable instrumentation.
- Monitor calibration, maintenance, and operation of laboratory equipment per Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all testing processes and outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in developing and writing departmental procedures, work instructions, test methods, and SOPs.
- Troubleshoot analytical testing issues, collaborate to determine root causes, and propose corrective actions.
- Uphold a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment in compliance with cGMP guidelines and safety protocols.
- Participate in company safety and training programs.
- Maintain effective communication within and across functional areas.
