Job Summary
Responsible for dispensing spectacles and other optical products, to both adults and children, working with prescriptions written by optometrists and ophthalmologists. This position advises and assists patients with various types of lenses and spectacle frames, including style, weight, and color.
Responsibilities- Carry out job functions and responsibilities as assigned. Support the application of club policies, procedures, and compliance.

- Deliver sales by providing excellent member service in person and over the phone. Explain exam fee procedures, including detailed explanations of all included services.
- Take measurements, ensure correct frame selection for prescription power, read prescriptions on the lensometer, notify product readiness, advance orders, and dispense each job. Handle all money–related transactions.
- Educate patients on the benefits of available products and recommend those that improve visual needs.
- Assist Optical Manager with opening and closing procedures at the start and end of shifts.
- Adhere to privacy and confidential/proprietary company policies and procedures, including HIPAA.
- Provide support to members in making eyeglass adjustments and repairs.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Ensure accurate funds collection and payments at the point of service.
- Maintain all club policies and procedures. Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
- Must be licensed to work as an optician within the State and keep license up to date and active.
- Knowledge of optical products and business practices preferred.
- High school diploma, college degree, and/or experience in big‑box wholesale, retail, and/or optical preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail required.
- Open‑shift availability required for full‑time positions.
- Minimum age of 18 years.

Estimated compensation range: $36.00–$38.00 per hour. Actual salary will vary based on location, education, experience, and qualifications.
Work EnvironmentEmployees frequently move about on hard surfaces and may need to bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 20 pounds, occasionally lifting heavier objects with assistance. Work occurs in a comfortable indoor area with exposure to temperature extremes and loud noises, and there may be occasional exposure to cleaning agents. Use of optical hand tools for adjustments and repairs is required.
