Job Summary

Proofs and bakes all unfinished bakery goods by following each item’s product handling information using ovens and/or other equipment. Unpacks bakery goods from the freezer and displays proper amounts based on bakery production chart recommendations, including safe handling and storage instructions. Maintains all cleaning and safety standards within the bakery department.

  • Work as a team to deliver GOLD club standards daily. Commit and pride to deliver GOLD – Grand opening look daily.
  • All items stocked and promotional plans executed; maintain visible accurate signage; keep areas clean and organized.
  • Understand how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department. See the connection between consistent execution and its impact on the business.
  • Answer questions and recommend bakery items. Answer member calls and take special orders.
  • Proof and bake all unfinished bakery goods, following product handling information and production charts. Prepare products for the next business day.
  • Package freshly baked goods (cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, etc.) and unpack freezer goods, displaying correct amounts per charts.
  • Decorate special order or case product.
  • Rotate and store bakery products following food safety, freshness, and product handling policies.
  • Receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments, rotating and storing per policies.
  • Ensure products are fresh, meet quality standards, check for out‑of‑date items daily, and follow salvage and stale product procedures.
  • Generate labels and price tickets for bakery goods and perform price checks when necessary.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, display fixtures, and food surfaces in the bakery: ovens, cooking utensils, refrigerated cases, display racks, tables.
  • Operate and handle bakery equipment using proper methods per safety policies.
  • Maintain all club policies and procedures.
