The Delivery Driver is responsible for checking all products for accuracy against quality standards and delivering products to customers in a safe, courteous, and timely fashion. The person in this role is expected to work as part of a team and support the restaurant by performing other workstation duties as needed.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Preparing the vehicle for delivery
- Ensuring the vehicle is clean according to restaurant standards
- Checking orders for quality and accuracy
- Following proper delivery procedures and providing quality customer service
- Acting with a sense of urgency so customers receive their food as quickly as possible
- Remaining familiar with the delivery area, traffic patterns and alternate routes
- Accepting and managing cash or credit payments, having a daily 'bank' to make change
- Performing as an extension of the restaurant team by ensuring excellent customer service, professionalism and positivity
- Performing other assigned duties including making quality products, preparing ingredients and taking orders
- Making sure that all orders are mapping correctly before dispatching them to yourself
- Stocking soda, sweeping, mopping and cleaning the driver area
- Running other necessary errands as deemed by the management team
- Maintaining a proper uniform including:
Paisans T-Shirt or uniform shirt, black pants or shorts, Paisans hat and appropriate shoes
- Ability to handle stress under pressure and in fast-paced situations
- Work well with others and collaborate as a member of a team
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation rules
- Must be 18 years of age and at least 2 years driving experience, have a driver’s license valid under the laws of the state(s) where the team member works, an acceptable motor vehicle record, proof of insurance, and a satisfactory vehicle

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and hot liquids. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
