Base pay range: $13.00/hr - $15.00/hr
Position SummaryAs the face of the company, cashiers provide fast, friendly, and accurate services for our customers through our POS system. Accuracy and basic math skills are important, as someone in this position will be handling payments in the form of cash and providing change. Knowledge of restaurant products is essential, as the cashier will be responsible for assisting our customers with questions and suggestions.
Cashiers will also be responsible for keeping work area neat and tidy, restocking items as needed, and cleaning lobby and dining areas.
- Greeting and acknowledging every customer as they enter
- Providing excellent customer service by being fast, patient, attentive, and using clear and positive communication
- Maintaining knowledge of products and promotions
- Upselling when appropriate or requested by management
- Accurately and efficiently completing all sales transactions
- Maintaining proper cash and media accountabilities at POS registers
- Ensuring cash drawer is balanced at the end of shift
- Calling out customers’ orders when they have been completed
- Keeping work area neat and clean, restocking items as needed, and cleaning lobby and dining areas
- Inventorying supplies and goods
- Handling customer concerns and finding a solution or bringing in a manager when appropriate
- Communicating customers’ requests to management
- Troubleshooting POS problems
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Ability to handle stress under pressure
- Basic math and calculation skills
- Basic knowledge of POS systems
- Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team

The employee frequently accesses all areas of the store including walk‑in fridge and freezers, stock area, and register area. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
