The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining the dealership's vehicle and/or parts inventory. This role ensures accurate tracking, timely ordering, and proper organization of stock to support sales, service, and parts operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, track, and maintain accurate vehicle and/or parts inventory levels.
- Coordinate with sales, service, and parts departments to forecast inventory needs.
- Assist in receiving, inspecting, and documenting new inventory arrivals.
- Update inventory management systems to reflect current stock, incoming vehicles/parts, and any discrepancies.
- Prepare regular inventory reports for management, including turnover, aging, and stock analysis.
- Assist with vehicle allocations, transfers, and lot organization.
- Support audits and assist in resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers as needed for orders, returns, or corrections.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies and manufacturer guidelines.
- Perform other administrative or operational tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent;
Associate's degree or relevant coursework a plus. - Previous experience in inventory management, automotive dealership operations, or retail preferred.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
