Purpose: The Facilities Project Engineer is responsible for providing the Facilities Project Manager/Account Manager with administrative and customer support, and coordinating procedures related to all phases of facilities and project work.
Essential Duties include the following:
- Assists PM/Account Manager as needed
- Attends project turnover and kick-off meetings
- Contributes to job setups and commodity material buyouts
- Helps manage all submittal packages, log statuses and follow ups until all materials released
- Updates and maintains required logs; RFI's, CO's, Submittals, O&M, Materials etc
- Manages document control for all assigned projects
- Assists with site-specific programs such as Safety and Quality Control
- Develops, maintains and audits job files, ensuring continuity
- Monitors material returns and tracks credit memos
- Provides the PM/Account Manager with any required reports
- Assists in estimating and cost analysis options
- Responsible for compliance with all Uihlein SOPs
- Develops and tracks labor production vs. work % completed and provides projection analysis
- Ensures all closeout documentation is complete
- Assists the project team with take-offs, scheduling and labor forecasting
- Performs other duties as assigned
- 1+ years of prior experience in construction management project support; or, Bachelor's degree in Construction management or related field
- Proficient in Office software and construction management software (Bluebeam preferred)
- Proficient with construction accounting systems
- Possess strong organizational skills and can plan and coordinate multiple projects
- Effectively communicate both verbally and through written format
- Ability to maintain rapport with customers and employees
- Able to work in an office where the job performance may require a long time sitting or standing
- Ability to wear job-specific required PPE as needed
- Must be able to drive to various customer sites as required
- Well-lit, heated, and/or air-conditioned modern office setting with adequate ventilation
- Employees may experience exposure to heat, cold, wind, rain and snow on job sites
