Architectural Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Architect/Project Manager to lead design and delivery for healthcare, educational, and civic projects. This role combines creative architectural leadership with hands-on project management: defining design direction, producing and reviewing construction documents, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality and regulatory standards. Ideal candidates have strong Revit and BIM skills, professional licensure (or NCARB certification), and experience managing complex institutional and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients to determine and understand needs, goals and program
- Specifying the requirements for the project
- Develop design concept, schematic and preliminary design.
- Create construction documents and provide specifications, materials and quality control
- Project manage the design and development process with all stake holders
- Work with the municipality and state to make the clients project feasible and acquire all planning approvals
- Working closely with a team of other professionals such as engineers, and consultants
- Write and presenting reports, proposals, applications and create presentations
- Project manage the construction administration process and handle construction bulletins, and RFI's
- Playing a part in project and team management
- Travelling regularly to building sites, proposed locations, and client meetings
Qualifications:
- Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 6+ years of combined architecture and project management experience
- Proven experience as a Project Architect, Project Manager, or Senior Job Captain with full project delivery responsibility.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows
- Familiarity with AIA contract documents and typical project delivery methods; experience managing budgets and schedules.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, life safety, accessibility standards, and healthcare-specific regulations and program requirements.
- Excellent communication, client management, and team leadership skills; ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated design sensibility coupled with technical rigor; ability to balance aesthetic and functional requirements under program and budget constraints.
