Advancement Officer

The American National Red Cross seeks an Advancement Officer to grow philanthropic support for our humanitarian mission. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of donors, cultivate new prospects, and design strategies that drive annual and major giving. You will craft compelling proposals and impact reports, partner with volunteers and internal teams on campaigns and events, and ensure excellent stewardship and data integrity.

This position offers the opportunity to build donor relationships that directly support disaster relief, blood services, and community resilience nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and manage a portfolio of individual, corporate, and foundation donors to support Red Cross humanitarian programs.
• Develop and implement strategies for donor acquisition, retention, and upgrade aligned with fundraising goals.
• Prepare compelling proposals, reports, and donor communications that align giving opportunities with mission impact.
• Plan and support fundraising campaigns and events in coordination with volunteers and cross-functional teams.
• Track donor activity, pipeline, and performance metrics in CRM systems and provide regular progress reports.
• Collaborate with program, communications, and finance staff to align funding needs and impact reporting.
• Conduct prospect research to identify new funding opportunities within assigned territory or segment.
• Ensure accurate gift processing, acknowledgment, and stewardship in compliance with organizational policies.
