Position Summary:

The Inventory & Logistics Lead is responsible for managing material flow, inventory accuracy, shipping and receiving operations, and production support activities within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures materials, documentation, and inventory transactions are accurately processed to support efficient production and on-time delivery. Responsibilities include coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, kitting materials for work centers, managing shop orders within the ERP system, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing warehouse operations with production and inventory control responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties:

- Receive incoming shipments; verify accuracy against packing slips and purchase orders

- Track and document shipments within inventory and logistics systems

- Tag, label, and store materials in designated warehouse locations

- Prepare, package, and ship outgoing orders accurately and efficiently

- Build custom crates and pallets to support safe transportation of finished goods

- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) to move materials

- Maintain accurate inventory levels and support cycle counts as needed

- Identify and resolve discrepancies related to shipments or inventory

- Distributes paperwork to the proper work centers

- Kits all materials for each work center

- Issues materials to shop orders

- Closes all shop orders

- Reconciles inventory in shop orders

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment

- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

- Work independently across multiple warehouse functions as needed

What you need to be successful:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Valid driver's license

- 5+ years of experience in shipping, including crate building for finished goods

- 3+ years of forklift operating experience

- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly

- Experience with inventory control and shipping/receiving processes

- Basic computer skills with experience entering data into systems

Preferred Qualifications:

- Forklift certification

- Experience with ERP or inventory management software

- Strong woodworking skills (crate and pallet building)
