To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to carry out each essential duty satisfactorily. This role is responsible for processing payroll according to company-assigned frequencies, including compiling payroll data such as hours worked, taxes, insurance, and union dues, as well as preparing and issuing paychecks. The individual ensures timely and accurate processing of wage assignments, garnishments, child support orders, and employment verifications, and audits system entries related to new hires, status and compensation changes, and terminations in collaboration with the HR Data Entry team.
Additionally, the role involves responding to and resolving payroll inquiries in a timely, compliant manner using prescribed methods, analyzing payroll reports-including Certified Payroll, Job Cost Association, Gross Payroll Registers, and Vacation Reports-to ensure accurate tracking and accruals, and supporting the reconciliation of outstanding payroll checks with the corporate Accounting team. 5 days on-site and targeting $25 an hour for the 6 month contract to hire model.

Required Skills & Experience
3+ years' experience with in-house payroll processing.
Dayforce experience preferred.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products preferred.
High School diploma / GED required.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field preferred.
JD Edwards E1
Union, Construction, Prevailing Wage payroll knowledge preferred.
