Manager, Group Insurance Operations

Position Overview

Vaco Atlanta is hiring a Manager, Group Insurance Operations to oversee group life and health insurance operations for an established client. The role includes leading policy administration, onboarding, EDI, account management, billing, claims support, payment processing, and customer service while driving operational excellence and process improvements.

Onsite: 100% onsite

Compensation: $110,000 - $120,000 annually. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) retirement plan.

• Lead and develop a high‑performing team.
• Own daily operations, service levels, and escalations across group policy administration.
• Drive process improvements, workflow optimization, and operational efficiency.
• Partner cross‑functionally with underwriting, billing, and customer service teams.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, financial accuracy, and risk mitigation.
• Build trusted relationships with brokers, plan administrators, and internal stakeholders.

• 3+ years leading insurance operations focused on group life and health products (group life experience strongly preferred).
• Experience coaching, developing, and leading customer‑facing operations teams.
• Strong knowledge of group insurance administration, claims, billing, underwriting support, and policy interpretation.
• Proven success improving workflows, driving operational efficiencies, and managing competing priorities.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, or related field.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables);
  Lean or Six Sigma is a plus.
