Position Summary

Inpax Shipping Solutions is seeking an experienced operational leader to oversee the company's fleet, facilities, safety, compliance, recruiting, onboarding, insurance, and physical asset management throughout the Southeast.

This individual will be responsible for protecting the company's people and assets while building scalable systems that support continued growth.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving operational problems, and is comfortable spending time both in the office and in the field.

This position reports directly to executive leadership and will play a critical role in the company's long-term growth strategy.

Primary Responsibilities Fleet Operations
  • Oversee all company-owned and leased vehicles.
  • Manage outside repair vendors and maintenance providers.
  • Monitor fleet utilization and replacement planning.
  • Track licensing, registrations, inspections, and permits.
  • Improve fleet uptime and vehicle availability.
Facilities Management

Manage all company facilities, including:

  • Corporate office
  • Distribution hubs
  • Courier stations
  • Warehouses
  • Parking lots
  • Security systems
  • Building maintenance

Responsibilities include:

  • Preventative building maintenance
  • HVAC
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Landscaping
  • Facility repairs
  • Lease coordination
  • Building inspections
  • Physical security
  • Access control

Ensure every location presents a professional appearance for employees and customers.

Safety & Risk Management

Develop and lead the company's safety culture.

Responsibilities include:

  • Facility safety
  • OSHA compliance
  • DOT compliance
  • Corrective action plans
  • Monthly safety meetings
  • Driver scorecards
  • Ride-alongs
  • Safety audits
  • Injury prevention
  • Workers' compensation coordination

Lead initiatives that reduce accidents while improving employee accountability.

  • Develop relationships with recruiting partners.
  • Conduct interviews.
  • Reduce turnover.
Driver Onboarding

Own the complete onboarding process.

Ensure completion of:

  • Background checks
  • Drug screens
  • Motor Vehicle Reports
  • Safety orientation
  • Equipment training
  • Technology setup
  • Uniform distribution
Insurance & Claims

Serve as the primary liaison with insurance providers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Claims management
  • Loss investigations
  • Insurance renewals
  • Root cause analysis
Compliance

Maintain company compliance for:

  • DOT
  • OSHA
  • Fleet inspections
  • Vehicle records
  • Safety documentation
  • Equipment inspections
  • Regulatory reporting
Asset Management

Maintain accountability for company assets including:

  • Vehicles
  • Trailers
  • Uniforms
  • GPS equipment
  • Warehouse equipment

Develop lifecycle management plans and replacement schedules.

Technology

Manage operational technology including:

  • Fleet software
  • GPS tracking
  • Maintenance software
  • Electronic inspection tools
  • Reporting
  • Asset tracking systems

Develop KPI reporting for executive leadership.

Leadership

Build systems that allow the company to scale efficiently.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on:

  • Process improvement
  • Cost reduction
  • Accountability

Partner with Operations, Sales, Human Resources, and Finance to support company growth.

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of leadership experience in transportation, logistics, fleet management, facilities management, or related industries.
  • Proven experience managing multiple operational functions.
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards.
  • Experience managing maintenance programs.
  • Experience with vendor negotiations.
  • Experience leading recruiting and onboarding efforts.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Bachelor's degree preferred but equivalent industry experience will be considered.
