Surgery - General Physician

General Surgery + Upper/Lower Scopes Call Coverage Locums Job in Central Mississippi Seeking Weekends & Occasional Week Coverage Starting Late & April and Ongoing

Jackson and Coker is partnered with a facility in central Mississippi that needs a General Surgeon that does upper/lower scopes to assist with locum tenens call coverage for an average of one weekend per month but also the occasional week long vacation stretch (about once per quarter).

Coverage needs:
- An average of 1 weekend (Friday AM-Monday AM) per month starting late April/early May & ongoing
- Occasional need for week-long stretches (approximately 1x per quarter)

Details and Requirements for Assignment :
- Active Board Certification or true Eligibility required
- Seeking candidates with an active Mississippi license + CSR, or an active LOQ with the IMLC
- Candidates must be comfortable (and able to provide active case logs) with full gamut of general surgery & upper/lower scopes
- Smaller sized facility, Medi Tech EMR, larger trauma designated facilities in surrounding areas for higher acuity transfers
- 24-hour call coverage to include daily patient rounding, emergent procedures & ED consults
