Job Description

JOB GOALS:

To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfil their academic potential. Improves instruction by providing assistance to teachers in developing effective teaching strategies for all students.

Performance Responsibilities

Observe, coach, and mentor teachers, providing feedback regarding all aspects of academics: instruction, classroom management and classroom environment.

Plan, organize and assist with conducting site-based workshops and job-embedded professional development training.

Provide support to beginning teachers.

Implement techniques that include instructional modeling, classroom observations, coaching, and feedback for professional growth.

Assist teachers in classroom organization, skill grouping and analysis of student data, management, and instructional strategies through visitation and demonstration.

Assist teachers in the implementation of the instructional components of the curriculum and instructional delivery.

Plan, conduct, implement, and evaluate school-wide activities related to instructional support.

Serve on committees along with other school personnel as assigned.

Assist in long-range planning and the implementation process.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Assistant Principal.

Support teachers in the alignment of curriculum and assessment.

Support teachers in the Three Tier process.
