(USA) Analyst II, Quality Engineer - Supply Chain
Brookhaven, MS
Position SummaryA key role in driving quality and efficiency improvements within the Distribution Center. The analyst utilizes Walmart Performance System (WPS) tools and processes to eliminate quality losses, streamline operations, and support the organization’s continuous improvement culture.
Responsibilities- Lead the application of process improvement tools (5S, root‑cause analysis, Six Sigma, time and motion studies) to reduce quality losses and deviations.
- Analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify loss elimination opportunities and develop standard work to reduce process variation.
- Support Quality‑focused improvement projects owned by area managers, including reviewing requests, providing input, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Compile and submit deviations to existing playbooks and feed insights to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams for replication.
- Deploy the Quality Excellence WPS program methodology and manage execution of top quality losses in the functional area.
- Assist managers in creating area quality loss profiles, performance metrics, and gap analyses for WPS integration.
- Promote company policies, initiatives, and ethical standards through expert guidance and actionable coaching.
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment of improvement efforts and continuous learning.
- Supervise, mentor, and recognize associates, fostering a workplace culture of belonging and high performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and the Open Door Policy, supporting a safe and respectful environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or 2 years of relevant work experience in Quality or Process Improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong analytical skills.
- Co‑op or internship experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Distribution with application of Lean/Continuous Improvement tools.
- Applied knowledge of quality management system elements, including Statistical Process Control, FMEA, and Quality KPIs.
