Responsibilities- Construct, build, and maintain OH/UG electric facilities up to 34.5 KV.
- Install, remove, and maintain OH/UG primary line facilities and secondary services.
- Install OH/UG transformers and wire all types of transformer banks.
- Wire regulators, capacitors, and reclosers.
- Operate various equipment including aerial bucket and digger derrick trucks.
- Read and understand job prints and sketches.
- Recognize material(s) and their function.
- Set and climb poles of all sizes in open areas, rear alleys, and energized lines.
- Be available for on‑call duty and emergency response.
- 5 years of lineman experience.
- Possession or ability to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
- Physical strength to perform required tasks in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work irregular hours and out of town assignments as required.
- Ability to follow directives and complete tasks with limited supervision.
- Capacity to plan and lay out work safely and efficiently.
- Leadership ability to direct the work of other linemen.
- Compliance with Entergy safety policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in classroom instruction, OJT, and repetitive motions.
- Capability to climb and work off poles of various heights.
- Recognition and mitigation of workplace hazards.
- Proper maintenance and safeguarding of company equipment.
- High level of customer service and communication skills.
- Openness to process improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrated acceptance of a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Traverse uneven terrain with full tools set.
- Work in extreme heat, cold, and confined spaces.
- Operate trucks, heavy equipment, and energized lines safely.
- Work at heights for extended periods, including bucket truck overhead work.
- Perform emergency rescue operations.
- Maintain continuous work for up to 16 hours per day.
- Use required personal protection equipment.
- Perform basic computer tasks for timekeeping and communication.
- Communicate effectively with team members.
- Manage stress and maintain reliable attendance.
- Work overtime when necessary.
