Overview
First-level vocational position accountable for technical work involving the least complex equipment operation and maintenance. The role may also involve repairing traffic signals; installing and maintaining signs; applying herbicide, pesticide, and snow and ice chemicals; striping; traffic control; pothole patching; and responding to natural and man-made disasters.
Responsibilities- Operate and maintain equipment at a basic level.
- Repair traffic signals.
- Install and maintain signs.
- Apply herbicide, pesticide, and snow and ice chemicals.
- Stripe road surfaces.
- Provide traffic control.
- Pothole patching.
- Respond to natural and man-made disasters.
- High School Diploma or GED; in some cases experience may substitute for education.
- Pay is dependent on experience and discussed at the interview.
