Health insurance after 60 days of employment, Cooperative sponsored Defined Benefit Pension Plan, after one year of service, 100% vested after five years, Cooperative sponsored 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, with a matched contribution of up to 3% or your annual salary. Paid Sick Leave accrued at a rate of 96 hours per year, not to exceed a total accrual of 600 hours.
Nine paid holidays, plus a birthday holiday, Paid Personal Leave accrued at a beginning rate of 96 hours per year and accelerated based on service years. Maximum total accrual of 520 hours.
To be qualified for the position of Apprentice Lineman an employee must satisfy Management that he/she has sufficient competency to perform the duties of this job. This job requires that an employee, under the direction of a Supervisor or Working Foreman, perform work in connection with construction, maintenance, operations and service of distribution line protective equipment and associated equipment, "hot-line" work, transmission switching, sectionalizing and fusing.
Respond to all member outages so that services can be restored effectively and efficiently, while abiding by all Safety Rules and Regulations of the Association. He shall also perform such other duties as directed by the Supervisor or Working Foreman.
To be qualified for the position of Apprentice Lineman employees are required to do the following:
- Pass the entry level apprentice test.
- Complete and pass the four (4) year apprentice training course.
- Possess Class A Commercial Driver's License
