Knuckle boom Operator Street Division

DUTIES

• Skilled work in the operation of heavy duty automotive, maintenance, and grounds-keeping equipment to include, but not limited to knuckle boom truck, dump truck, chipper, and chainsaws. Skilled work in the operation of heavy-duty automotive maintenance and grounds keeping equipment.
• Hauls dirt, rocks and sand to work sites using a dump truck.
• Loads dozer for transporting; operates dozer to push and compact landfill.
• Spreads gravel with a grader.
• Lays asphalt and packs utility cuts with a packer.
• Participates in weed eating, shoveling and digging ditches
• Operates a street sweeper, street flusher, chipper machine, front end loader, backhoe, bulldozer or grader.
• Operates a front-end loader in loading asphalt, gravel, sand, rock, slag, slurry, and similar materials on trucks.
• Operates a dragline in digging and cleaning ditches; operates a clamshell in digging footing and in lifting materials and objects.
• Operates a low boy truck in hauling heavy equipment; operates a winch truck in removing stumps, logs, and similar debris.
• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment operated, greases, oils and checks.
• Participates in weed eating, shoveling and digging ditches.

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent, plus one (1) year driving experience. Must have valid CDL.
