Industrial Painter - Temporary Position With Long-Term Potential

Pay: $24.06 per hour (after probationary period)
Schedule:
Day shift | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | 5–6 days per week
The Painter is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and enhancing facility structures and equipment through high-quality painting. This position plays a key role in ensuring the longevity, functionality, and appearance of mill infrastructure and production-related assets.
Responsibilities- Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures.
- Collaborate with our lead painter, maintenance teams, and supervisors to prioritize and complete projects.
- Prepare metal, wood, and concrete surfaces by cleaning, sanding, priming, and masking.
- Apply paints, stains, coatings, and finishes to wooden and industrial surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Ensure proper adhesion, durability, and finish quality of coatings on machinery, structures, and wood products.
- Inspect surfaces for damage or wear and perform touch-ups or repairs as needed.
- Use tools such as drills, grinders, sanders, and measuring instruments to complete detailed painting tasks.
- Maintain and clean painting equipment to ensure proper functionality and longevity.
- Purchase and maintain necessary tools for the role.
- Complete reports or documentation of work performed and materials used.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Strong commitment to safety and a self-motivated work ethic.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail with the ability to produce consistent, high-quality work to standard codes.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and report concerns promptly
- Strong organizational skills with problem-solving abilities.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long durations.
