South Dakota State University (SDState) is seeking an organized anddetail-oriented individual to join our Accounts Receivable Department as a Student Accounts Specialist. This position islocated in Brookings , South Dakota. This position is a 12-month, full-time, benefits-eligible position.
The Cashier’s Office manages the billing and accounts receivablesfor students, as well as receipts all University deposits. The Cashier’s Office is customer-facing and the workload changes daily.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Key Responsibilities- To provide support for Student Accounts Billings and Receivables toensure proper student billings and proper reporting of transactions in Student and Financial Systems as well as to students and otherentities.
The salary for this position is commensurate with qualifications,minimum of $51,063.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related degree completed by date of application
- At least one year of experience in billing or a customer service role
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Valid drivers license or ability to obtain within 30 days ofhire
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position
- Experience with computer software systems such as Banner,Cognos, or other reporting software
- Financial information processing experience
