Join the Testing Center as a Program Assistant I – Proctor and play an important role in supporting a fair, secure, and positive testing experience. In this position you will deliver excellent customer service, uphold testing integrity and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. This position is located in Brookings , South Dakota.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Job Responsibilities:

The purpose of this position is to support the mission of the Testing Center by assisting individuals in reaching their academic and professional goals by providing a secure, friendly, and comfortable environment where exams are administered, proctored, and scored with integrity. The SDSTATE
-TC adheres to the National College Testing Association Professional Standards and Guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Test administration and proctoring
  • SDBOR policy and guidelines in regard to testing and prior learning credit
  • Educational work experience with individuals requiring special accommodations
Skill & Ability to
  • Ability to obtain certification from Pearson, Meazure, Praxis, CLEP , ACCUPLACER , ATI , Prov, PSI , ACT , and other exam sponsors
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and flexibility
  • Computer skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical problems
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work as a team

Work Hours

This is a full-time position. Typical work hours are 8-5, M-F; however, there are times when the position may need to work outside of those hours or on Saturday to accommodate special testing sessions.
