South Dakota State University is currently seeking a Program and Tribal Relations Coordinator. In this position you will help support student success and be a collaborative team player. This position is located in Brookings , South Dakota. This position is a 12-month, full-time, benefits-eligible position.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and coordinate programming that supports student success, belonging, and engagement, with a focus on strengthening relationships with Tribal Nations and advancing institutional support for Indigenous students, staff, and faculty.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, American Indian and Indigenous Studies, Social Sciences to include Psychology, or Sociology, History, Training and Development, Curriculum Design or a related field completed by start date
- Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire
- Experiential knowledge of tribal language, culture, and lifeways
- Experience working with tribal communities
- Demonstrated experience in program management or program evaluation
