South Dakota State University is currently seeking a Program and Tribal Relations Coordinator. In this position you will help support student success and be a collaborative team player. This position is located in Brookings , South Dakota. This position is a 12-month, full-time, benefits-eligible position.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and coordinate programming that supports student success, belonging, and engagement, with a focus on strengthening relationships with Tribal Nations and advancing institutional support for Indigenous students, staff, and faculty.

QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, American Indian and Indigenous Studies, Social Sciences to include Psychology, or Sociology, History, Training and Development, Curriculum Design or a related field completed by start date
  • Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experiential knowledge of tribal language, culture, and lifeways
  • Experience working with tribal communities
  • Demonstrated experience in program management or program evaluation
