As a Staff Engineer in the Wastewater Department, you will support wastewater infrastructure projects from planning and design through construction. This role works closely with project managers, engineers, technical staff, and clients to assist with project design, analysis, and coordination while continuing to develop engineering experience and technical skills.
What You’ll Do- Assist with the preparation of plans, specifications, reports, and technical documents for wastewater infrastructure projects
- Perform engineering calculations and design tasks under the direction of project managers and senior engineers
- Utilize engineering software for analysis, modeling, and design development
- Support construction administration activities, including submittal review, field observation, and documentation
- Coordinate with surveying staff and engineering technicians to support project development
- Assist project teams in meeting project schedules, budgets, and quality expectations
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited four‑year program
- Registered as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
- Interest or experience in wastewater or municipal infrastructure projects preferred
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license
Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States.
