As a Packaging Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Design and develop primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging.
- Select packaging materials such as corrugated boxes, plastics, foam, paper, and films.
- Reduce packaging costs while maintaining product protection.
- Support new product launches by supporting new packaging specifications.
- Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate new materials and packaging technologies.
- Lead continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives.
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline (completed and verified prior to start)
OR
- High School Diploma/GED AND four (4) years of packaging, product, or manufacturing engineering experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Experience with packaging design, manufacturing processes, and package testing activities
- Experience working with packaging materials and distribution environments
- Experience using CAD software and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience applying analytical and project management approaches to support packaging-related projects and initiatives
- Experience communicating technical information to stakeholders through verbal discussions, presentations, and written documentation
- Experience developing packaging artwork
- Experience working in a medical device manufacturing environment
- Experience performing packaging validation activities and applying testing standards, such as ASTM and ISTA

The expected compensation range for this position is $106,000 - $145,750, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
